If you share our vision and want to work for an organization that values your contributions, we want to hear from you!The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.Responsibilities<ul><li>Analyze both internal and external data to adapt and develop rating methodologies for existing company products.</li><li>Use techniques to incorporate new variables in pursuit of a competitive advantage and improved underwriting results.</li><li>Utilizes loss development and other methods to participate in the determination of incurred but not reported reserve estimates to be used in profitability analyses.</li><li>Produce regular monthly reports and/or analyses used to complete the financial close process and/or used to improve underwriting results of the company.</li><li>Represent the needs of the actuarial department on cross functional projects.</li><li>Constantly seek to improve current reporting and actuarial processes.</li><li>Participate in planning ultimate loss and loss adjustment ratios based on underwriting leadership plans and changes to underwriting guidelines.</li></ul>QualificationsEducation and Experience<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Mathematics</li><li>Minimum Years of Experience by Level:</li><ul><li>Senior Actuarial Analyst: 4 years</li><li>Actuarial Analyst II: 2 years</li><li>Actuarial Analyst: 0 years (preferred at least to have prior internship)</li></ul><li>Minimum Exam Requirements by Level:</li><ul><li>Senior Actuarial Analyst: ACAS designation</li><li>Actuarial Analyst II: at least 4 exams</li><li>Actuarial Analyst: at least 2 exams</li></ul><li>Requires proficiency with Microsoft products including Excel and VBA</li><li>Power BI and SQL Server knowledge preferred</li><li>R and Arius knowledge preferred</li><li>Requires familiarity with basic insurance concepts</li><li>Preferred familiarity with Professional Liability and/or Commercial Auto pricing</li></ul>Knowledge and Skills<ul><li>Proven experience in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple priorities.</li><li>Strong attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal skills.</li></ul>Additional Company DetailsWe do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting firms.
