Swiss Re is hiring a
Senior Team Lead (Actuarial Experience Studies)
You will join the exciting Swiss Re journey to transform its global L&H experience studies (ES) landscape by shaping, influencing, introducing, and maintaining a new standardized and state-of-the-art solution built for the global L&H experience studies community.
About the Role
The candidate will be a member of the Leap R Migration Team. Leap R is replacing SAS and R as the experience studies calculation engine for L&H (ex. North America). The Leap R Migration Team is being formed to support the rollout and adoption of the Leap R ES engine by the local experience studies teams in Asia and EMEA.
You will be responsible for leading a team of actuarial analysts who will be migrating studies currently undertaken with SAS or R to Leap R, including data preparation and documentation of the process. Through this, you will have accountability for the delivery of experience analyses for stakeholders including experience studies, pricing, and valuation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day management for a team undertaking experience studies with Leap R, migrated from existing solutions.
- Provide hands-on support as required and work closely and collaboratively with the local experience studies teams to achieve annual migration targets.
- Support validating and reconciling study results with previous studies undertaken with SAS or R.
- Analyse and interpret findings, formulate and communicate conclusions.
- Follow the processes, framework, and standard operating procedure for work to be undertaken by the Leap R Migration Team.
- Ensure experience studies are migrated in line with global experience studies methodology and standards.
- Perform reviews of work and ensure correct documentation of Leap R migrations.
- Foster strong collaboration with colleagues across regions and central teams to ensure alignment and contribution to a common global experience studies approach.
About the Team
The Leap R Migration Team is being formed as a global team to support the adoption of the Leap R tool by the local experience studies teams. Leap R has been developed based on a global methodology to enable ES actuaries to utilize R efficiently to undertake experience studies, facilitating improved generation of insights for pricing and other stakeholders.
The Leap R Migration team will work with the Experience Studies Centre and collaborate closely with the local ES teams to deliver migration targets.
The Experience Studies Centre is part of the OVAL and Global Experience studies team, within L&H Portfolio Steering & Monitoring (PSM) under the Chief Underwriting Office (CUO). We aim to implement a standardized and state-of-the-art Experience Studies solution that enables effective generation of insights of the L&H business to proactively steer L&H Re in delivering sustainable profits.
About You
Are you an effective team worker with strong interpersonal skills who enjoys building working relationships across technical subject areas?
