Actuarial Analyst

Performing actuarial calculations to assist in reserving, loss ratio reporting and monitoring solvency of financial and marketing programs. Analyzing, drawing, and documenting recommendations to assist with making sound business decisions.
Your new role:
- Conducting regular reviews of pricing, valuation and reporting techniques
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with Underwriters, Finance, Claims, and Reinsurance to improve customer focus
- Awareness and understanding of the business drivers for each function
- Participating in the submission of statutory statistical returns and reports
- Performing actuarial investigations, analysis and costing for senior management
- Drafting reports on results of investigations
- Providing technical advice and producing underwriting and profitability statistics of business units for Actuarial, Finance, and Underwriting that provide accurate management information
- Ability to analyze, interpret and extrapolate data from a number of sources and resolve complex issues
- Ability to communicate complicated concepts in a simple manner
- Demonstrated influential interpersonal skills
About you:
- Graduate qualification as an actuary
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the Insurance Industry
- Broad knowledge of the insurance industry, existing products and competitor products
