£27,000 - £35,000

If so, this could be the role for you. We have a fantastic opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst to join our team on a 9-month fixed term contract. This is a great job for someone with a proactive attitude, who can effectively take ownership of tasks and who works well as part of a team.

A bit about the job:

We’re looking for someone with an actuarial skill set, who is passionate about doing the right thing for our customer. This role will see you working alongside members of the Wealth Customer & Product Actuarial team, performing calculations to enable customers to receive redress due from risk events. You will be responsible for creating solutions to accurately calculate the financial impact of the risk event on customers. Other aspects of the role include investigating potential issues and ensuring appropriate controls are applied, to mitigate the risk of modelling errors.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong numerical skills, the ability to analyse data and an awareness of actuarial techniques
  • Good Excel skills, including experience of VBA or the willingness to develop in this area
  • Knowledge of life insurance products
  • Strong communication skills, and an ability to work with people effectively
  • An awareness of risks and how to mitigate them

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Starting salary between £27,000 and £35,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
