About the role

We are looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to work within our Actuarial Systems team. You will support the development and maintenance of actuarial systems, models, and tools used by the Actuarial Department. The role involves supporting the implementation of approved business requirements essential for regulatory compliance, new products, reinsurance structures, management information, and external reporting. This role is part of our Model Operations team and includes a mix of BAU and project-based work. You will assist the lead Actuary in enhancing the robustness and efficiency of the Actuarial Department through process improvements, system enhancements, and control framework implementation. Responsibilities

• Produce, check, and review model runs prospectively and retrospectively.
• Be involved in testing, documentation, and governance to ensure compliance with TAS and APS X2.
• Seek continual improvement of processes and controls.
• Troubleshoot problems during model runs.
• Liaise with the wider systems and reporting teams to resolve issues.
• Support junior team members with development and model operations.
• Work on other tasks to support the wider systems team as needed.

Skills and experience

• Member of the IFoA and making progress with exams.
• Experience working in a life insurer and/or pension provider.
• Good verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate to advanced excel skillset.
• Actuarial modeling software development experience would be desirable.
