Actuarial Pricing Analyst

Location: London, Brighton, Leeds, Manchester or Staines - Hybrid working (4 days WFH)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Up to ÂŁ60K per annum dependent upon experience & location + pension, private health & optional study support

The Actuarial Pricing Analyst is a key role in Bupa's UK Insurance business. You will be part of the actuarial team responsible for the pricing and analytics for one or more of our insurance products. The pricing team develops and delivers the pricing strategy in support of Bupa's strategic goals.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Pricing analysis of historical performance
  • Extracting, refining and enriching data
  • Identifying trends for pricing recommendations
  • Advanced analytics for building models
  • Modelling the impact of new pricing strategies
  • Competitor pricing analysis
  • Profitability analysis by customer segment
  • Support other teams such as Sales, Product & Proposition, Clinical Policy and Healthcare Analytics.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Nearly-Qualified Actuary (IFoA) (9+ exams passed)
  • Relevant actuarial Insurance experience
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills demonstrated through previous experience
  • Ideally SAS, Radar or Python
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
