Actuarial & Risk Modelling Analyst

Our team is growing fast and, to support and develop our core services (pensions actuarial, derivative valuation, redress & remediation and financial risk modelling), we are looking for an analytical and highly numerate individual to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The minimum criteria:

  • Numerical background and ideally with a degree in mathematics, statistics or similar
  • Ability to manage time effectively in delivering on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The desirables:

  • Knowledge – obtained through academic study or on-the-job experience – of financial economics and the principles underpinning standard derivative valuation models such as Black-Scholes and Monte Carlo simulation
  • An understanding of the key features of derivatives and financial instruments such as forwards, options and swaps
  • Background in using programming languages such as R and Python
  • Familiarity with and ability to use valuation tools such as those deployed by Bloomberg
  • Advanced Excel skills
