A bit about the job:
This is a fast-paced role leading a team of both onshore Aviva staff and a larger offshore team in delivering all modelled liability results to support Aviva’s financial reporting requirements.
This role provides excellent exposure and experience across the full breadth of reporting deliveries and a wide range of senior collaborators across the wider IWR team. This is a great opportunity to increase your professional network and support future career progression.

You will collaborate with your combined onshore and offshore team. Outside of quarterly reporting periods, you will support ad-hoc investigations, strategic projects, and internal development work to improve process efficiency and controls.
Key skills you will develop while in this role include team management, timetable management, senior stakeholder management, multitasking, and prioritising. You will also gain technical knowledge across all reporting deliveries and understand the importance of controls and relationships with internal and external auditors.

- A qualified or nearly qualified actuary with good knowledge of how the various reporting and capital metrics work
- Ability to work independently, prioritise, and take responsibility for ensuring that deliverables are met
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within the UK IWR Chief Actuary’s team, with colleagues across Finance and with other stakeholders
- Team management – ability to lead an onshore and offshore team effectively ensuring delivery and wellbeing is prioritised
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
What you’ll get for this role:
- Salary between £55,000 – £75,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
