Actuarial Summer Intern (6-8 Week Contract)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a university student currently studying Actuarial Studies to join our Actuarial Management team over the 2024/2025 summer university vacation.

About the Role

The primary focus of this role is to assist the Valuation & Analysis team with year-end Financial reporting and various project assignments.

About the Team

Swiss Re Australia's Life & Health Valuation & Analysis team comprises approximately two dozen staff across our Sydney and Bangalore offices. They are responsible for delivering all actuarial reporting requirements and developing a deep understanding of the diverse and complex reinsurance business in Australia and New Zealand.

Our team strives to proactively provide actionable insights to senior leaders locally and globally. We collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout Swiss Re to help deliver efficiently implemented projects and reinsurance offerings to our clients.

About You

• Comfortable working with large and heterogeneous data sets;
• Have a genuine interest in a career in Insurance or Reinsurance;
• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, able to demonstrate a clear and articulate standard of written and verbal communication;
• Strong time management, excellent ability to prioritise tasks and work independently;
• Agility and flexibility with strong dedication for success.
