You will also help to produce the monthly forecasting for Capital Investments SII results, including relevant MI for Senior Stakeholders.

This is a hybrid working opportunity, allowing you to split your working week flexibly between your home and our London office in Moorgate.

What you'll be doing:

  • Producing the monthly forecasting of Own Funds and Solvency II movements.
  • Producing any other monthly/annual MI (e.g., Risk MI) and supporting ad-hoc business analysis as required.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with relevant contacts in Business Units, other Group Capital teams, and Group Finance.
  • Identifying and implementing potential improvements to processes where necessary.
  • Liaising closely with L&G Capital Investments Capital Management to identify new assets and changes to valuation treatment.
  • Complying with the relevant Internal Model governance standards, particularly Internal Model validation, data management, and documentation.
  • Ensuring you manage any Internal Model changes in line with Group standards.

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

  • Part Qualified Actuary who is making good progress through the IFoA Exams.
  • Familiarity with/experience of Solvency II.
  • Knowledge of actuarial liability reporting and analysis processes.
  • Data analysis skills, with the ability to apply financial analysis techniques.
  • Problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to develop new processes and approaches to enable agile responses.
  • Modelling proficiency within Microsoft Excel (other programmes such as Python and/or R are highly desirable).

Benefits

  • The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes.
  • Generous pension contribution.
  • Life assurance.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, increasing to 26 days after 2 years’ service.
  • Competitive family leave.
  • Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax-efficient salary sacrifice.
  • Discounts for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online.
  • Our offices are designed to connect and collaborate, with wellbeing at the heart.
