Head of Corporate Actuarial (Non-Life)

Allianz Benelux is looking for a Head of Corporate Actuarial Non-Life to join our team and shape the future of our actuarial operations and accelerate in our data journey.

As the Head of Corporate Actuarial Non-Life Benelux, you will ensure the adequate reserving of all P&C insurance obligations and be a key advisor to senior management.

You will bridge the actuarial department with stakeholders such as accountants, business units, management, regulators, and auditors.

By working closely with the claims and pricing teams, you will provide the Board of Management with insight and advice grounded in deep analysis and support in identifying emerging trends and mitigation solutions.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Reporting: Fulfill all reporting requirements to stakeholders; validate the adequacy of technical reserves by means of movement analysis, sensitivities, Liability Adequacy Test, or any other quality data analyses.
  • Process Optimization & Data pool: Continue developing and optimizing processes, systems, and tools for faster delivery on local GAAP, IFRS 17, and Solvency 2 reporting. Strive for Benelux harmonizing of methods, processes, and reports. Own and extend the Finance Data Warehouse to support this transformation.
  • Regulation: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, closely monitoring processes and intervening when necessary. Align with regulators and other stakeholders involved.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide analytical and finance-driven input to various internal and external stakeholders, supporting the business in developing new profitable products.
  • Leadership & Management: Inspire and guide the actuarial department, ensuring alignment with the Allianz Operating Model. Set clear targets and priorities, promoting development and collaboration within and beyond the finance area. Empower employees by entrusting them with responsibilities and striving for continuous personal growth and development.
  • Project: Ensure successful implementation of finance projects and participate in forums on actuarial developments.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • You hold a Masterโ€™s degree in Actuarial Science or another relevant quantitative field.
  • You have strong knowledge of Solvency 2 and IFRS 17 standards and proficiency in coding languages (Python, C++, WTW RAFM & ResQ) to handle and analyze large data sets or model actuarial cash flows.
  • You have relevant experience in a non-life actuarial reporting position or a closely related field.
  • You have proven ability to manage different stakeholders, from the Board of Management to direct colleagues. You empower employees, fostering continuous personal growth and development.
  • You are fluent in English and have strong communication skills with the ability to make presentations on the spot and adapt your communication style to your audience.
  • You are proactive and ambitious, with a track record of executing plans and projects and you stay updated on the latest developments in the actuarial field.
