Actuarial Analyst (L&H)

If you want to experience how things are done in the Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation team at our headquarters in Hannover, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as an Actuarial Analyst Life & Health.

You can look forward to

  • A great team where you can perform tasks in the field of balance sheet mathematics for the business conducted by the Life & Health business group and reconcile your work with stakeholders.
  • Your tasks will include:
    • Preparation of balance sheet and forecast values for IFRS 17 and Solvency II.
    • Using and updating mathematical models.
    • Economic valuation of the Life & Health business.
    • Using multiple internal systems and databases to generate balance sheet and forecast values.
    • Analysing and checking the plausibility of balance sheet and forecast values.
    • Reporting tasks for IFRS 17 and Solvency II.
    • Communicating with internal and external customers, such as independent auditors and colleagues from the international network of the Hannover Re Group.
    • Interdisciplinary exchange with colleagues from the areas of Underwriting, Accounting, Group Risk Management and IT.
  • Special focus will be on supporting the international branches of Hannover Re regarding their local requirements.

You come equipped with

  • 2-3 years professional experience in (re)insurance business is desirable.
  • Degree in (business) mathematics or business administration.
  • Independent user skills in English.
  • Well-versed in using Excel.
  • Knowledge of balance sheet mathematics.
  • Experience with IFRS 17 reporting is desirable.
  • Capacity for analytical thinking and conceptual abilities.
  • A team player and enjoy working with numbers.
