Credit Pricing Analyst

Credit Pricing Analyst (Credit and Mortgage)
How does this role contribute to our collective success? This role reports to the Global Head of Credit Pricing. We expect the successful applicant to manage internal models and tools and perform analysis for pricing, reserving and accumulation. This role will primarily support the Mortgage Underwriting team. The analyst will be responsible for analysis of new transactions and the in-force portfolio.
What will you do in this role?
Mortgage Treaty Pricing
- Provide top tier analytics in support of underwriting mortgage treaties with Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs), Private Mortgage Insurers (PMIs) and other sources in the US and internationally.
- Handling of submission data.
- Investigate Mortgage pricing model developments.
- Documentation of assumptions.
Credit Treaty Pricing
- Supporting technical pricing analyses of Credit Treaties.
- Provide top tier analytics to underwriters including rate adequacy.
- Documentation of assumptions.
Rate and trend monitoring
- Investigate mortgage pricing developments.
Tool ownership
- Maintain and run internal models and analytics tools to support pricing and monitoring of the Mortgage portfolio.
- Enhancing existing tools capabilities and analytics.
- Integrate tools into the Axis tool landscape.
Aggregation and Accumulation
- Quarterly reporting of in-force Mortgage exposures to exposure risk management.
- Provide top tier analytics to Executive Management.
Projects
- Work together with colleagues in cross-functional actuarial projects such as developing KPIs and supporting the internal model.
Reserving and Planning
- Provide pricing input to reserving and planning processes.

About You:

What you need to have:
- Confident, can-do attitude and an enthusiastic proposer of solutions.
- Minimum requirement of Bachelors, preferably actuarial, finance, computer science or related technical field.
- Demonstratable programming experience in Python and/or R.
- Part qualified or fully qualified Actuary; OR part qualified / qualified CFA with an interest to take actuarial exams.
What we prefer you to have:
- 3-5 years Experience in Reinsurance or Insurance pricing or related actuarial field such as reserving, portfolio management.
- Experience or working knowledge of mortgage/credit markets.
- Programming experience in other languages including SQL and VBA.
Role Factors:
In this role, you will typically be required to be in the office 3 days per week.

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of 150k to 180k (NY and NJ). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
