This role is responsible for supporting the pricing and other actuarial functions for the Individual Retirement Growth Solutions team. The Growth Solutions team operates in a dynamic environment and is responsible for innovating new growth-oriented retirement products and enhancing and maintaining existing products, chief among them our flagship RILA product. Creative insight is appreciated as you help analyze new product ideas and search for profitable and competitive annuity designs.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Set bi-weekly cap rates on flagship RILA product and help explore and implement new segment designs.
- Support the evaluation of the risk, sensitivities, and profitability metrics (VNB, IRR, ROA) of various product designs.
- Model new product designs, features, and/or assumptions in AXIS or Excel pricing models and streamline and enhance existing models and processes.
- Analyze trends in sales.
- Communicate with key stakeholders including non-actuaries.
The base salary range for this position is $97,000 - $141,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility. For eligible employees, Equitable provides a full range of benefits. Required Qualifications
- 2 years of actuarial experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
- ASA designation or progression toward ASA designation
Preferred Qualifications
- Axis modeling experience
- Experience in pricing and/or working with annuities

- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Statistics and Actuarial Modeling: Knowledge of statistical and actuarial modeling tools and techniques; ability to apply modeling processes and techniques to facilitate risk management decisions.
