Our Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance, and reserving losses for AIG’s major insurance operating companies globally. We collaborate with Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing, and Risk Management.

As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage, and mitigate risk.

How you will create an impact

• Collaborate with North American Accident & Health business teams to design, price, file, and monitor a diverse line of A&H products.
• Support strategic innovation initiatives through building and evaluating new products and benefits.
• Assist with the preparation of actuarial memorandums and rate manuals to support regulatory filings.
• Support experience and rate indication studies across accounts, portfolios, and business segments to ensure rate adequacy.
• Interact with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide financial projections and reporting.
• Assist with the development, enhancement, and maintenance of underwriting rating tools and engines.
• Other ad-hoc and special projects as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3+ Actuarial Exams.
• 2+ years of actuarial experience.
• Skills with Excel VBA, Power Point, Access.
• Knowledge of SAS, R, Python, and/or other data visualization software a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
