IFRS Actuarial Analyst (L&H)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to support the production and validation of the L&H cash flow, which is used as an input for the IFRS financial closing for both the Group and the Local entities, as well as for the Swiss Solvency Test (SST) and the Asset Liability Management Process.

You will contribute to the success of this key process within the Finance department and interact with the delegated authorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the quarterly closing process by handling L&H cash flow production under IFRS
  • Prepare manual cash flow adjustments together with the regional L&H valuation reserving actuaries and Finance colleagues
  • Create automated solutions and contribute to improvements in cash flow controlling activities
  • Participate in long-term change requests to improve data quality, including requirements definition and testing
  • Maintain close exchange and collaborate with IT business analysts and developers to enhance our reporting landscape
  • Assist in preparing audit documentation and evidence, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial results

About the Team

Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) is responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information for Swiss Re for external reporting and internal analysis facilitating strategic decision-making.

This includes IFRS for Group as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re legal entities, including SST and Solvency II. GFO&T spearheads the transformation of Global Finance, streamlining it towards a simpler, more effective forward-looking organisation.

About You

You have excellent analytical skills with holistic financial thinking and the ability to interpret financial data. You demonstrate strong personal accountability and are competent to work a flexible schedule and deliver under time pressure.

You possess the ability to perform tasks with support and a degree of autonomy, but also collaborate with all partners to deliver on clearly attributed goals and objectives.

Your profile:

  • University degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics)
  • 1-3 years' experience in similar positions within Finance or Risk Management
  • Actuarial knowledge or pursuing an actuarial qualification is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with IFRS in L&H (re)insurance setting is a plus
  • Committed, proactive, and dedicated personality
  • Ability to work accurately and deliver within timelines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with teams across departments
  • Team player, eagerness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit
  • Excellent oral and written English skills
