The Team You Will Join

The team is responsible for the preparation and analysis of assumptions for the needs of Solvency II (SII), International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS17) and Value New Business (VNB). Additionally, we participate in the review of newly developed insurance products.

Our Warsaw Office, located in the City Centre, is the Center of Excellence primarily for our Europe Region, supporting our broader EMEA and Global functions. It is home to various Financial and Operations teams, including Actuarial.

The Opportunity

The Actuarial Analyst is responsible for reviewing assumptions in line with SII and VNB across 10 countries. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the SII and, in the future, IFRS17.

We have a range of training programmes designed to gradually build your technical knowledge in each area as you gain further experience in the team. You will have the opportunity to work in an international environment and learn about life product solutions from different countries.

Success in this role requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills. The Actuarial Analyst is responsible for the review of assumptions to our Prophet model. You’ll collaborate closely with the Head of the Actuarial Function and with the modelling teams in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

  • Participation in expense unitization process, deriving expense assumptions and analysis in format required for valuation models.
  • Review best estimate assumptions, preparation of documentation and proper implementation of assumption updates within valuation model.
  • Preparation of various types of analyses regarding demographic or economic assumptions, including audit queries and support to Product Peer-Review team.
  • Act as actuarial point of contact for regional Product team.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math or statistics or other related subjects
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in actuarial area
  • Previous experience of analysing and reviewing actuarial reporting results
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - ability to build and maintain good working partnerships with various departments.
  • Strong technical knowledge with MS Excel and VBA.
  • Experience with SQL or Power BI.

What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

  • Understanding of SII SCR and Risk Margin
  • Experience with Prophet or Python
  • Knowledge of the financial structure and operation of life products.
