Senior Actuarial Analyst

The opportunity

This is an exciting chance for an experienced actuarial analyst looking to grow their career with QBE in the role of Senior Actuarial Analyst with a key focus on providing actuarial valuation and portfolio support for our Liability and Specialty products.

Your new role

• Support end to end quarterly reserving process for Liability products, including statutory reporting deliverables.
• Develop both ad hoc analysis and sustainable monitoring tools to deliver actionable insights to the Business.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing process and execute uplift on the reserving platform to unlock efficiencies and improve grain of insights.
• Provide guidance and training to junior analysts.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders including business, claims, underwriting, and finance.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent relevant disciplines) is highly preferred.
• Completion of the Actuaries Institute's Part II course or progress towards Part IIIs
• Industry experience in General Insurance is preferred.
• Strong MS Excel, SAS, and R programming skills (desired).
• Ability to communicate analysis and findings to a wide range of stakeholders.
