Position Title: Actuarial Analyst III
Location: Alternate locations may be considered. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This includes remote work and 1-2 days in office per week. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
Job Description:
The Actuarial Analyst III completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.
- Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.
- Builds, updates and revises pricing models for new products.
- Participates in financial close and forecasting processes, comparing penetration rates, revenue and claim variances to plan and forecast; explains rate and volume variances as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and to have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and a minimum of 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Advanced Strong Excel Skills strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience including an ASA is preferred.
- Pricing Experience preferred.
- P&L Experience a plus.
- SQL experience a plus.
The salary range for this specific position is $101,200-$151,800.
