Senior Actuarial Manager (IFRS)
Job Description
To support the activity and responsibilities within the actuarial team, a position has opened up for an experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic individual in the role of Senior Actuarial Manager โ IFRS for two large regulated composite entities: SCOR Global Reinsurance Ireland dac (SGRI) and SCOR Ireland (SI) dac.
Reporting to the Actuarial Director, the Senior Actuarial Manager will be a key contributor to the management of a large actuarial team and ensuring key deliverables are met. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production and analysis of actuarial items for SGRIโs and SIโs group and local statutory IFRS reporting requirements.

Reporting
- Management of the timely and accurate production of actuarial items for group and local statutory reporting requirements on an IFRS basis.
- Support the production, reporting, and analysis of the consolidated quarterly IFRS accounts.
- Analysis of reported results against plan and prior periods.
- Develop and embed IFRS17 processes (including those related to PVFCF, RA, and CSM) and controls within the team.
- Maintain appropriate and auditable controls, reconciliations, and documentation with respect to valuation, cash flow testing, data, and model changes.
- Support the annual planning process.
- Collaborate with modelling/reserving teams across SCOR Group and the Finance team to ensure appropriate and consistent reserving and accounting practices.
- Key point of contact with auditors regarding life elements, ensuring a clean audit opinion.
- Liaise with relevant external and internal stakeholders including external auditors and colleagues throughout the SCOR Group.
Miscellaneous
- Preparation of papers for the Board, Audit Committee, and other relevant Committees.
- Support the Actuarial Director in ensuring the effective management of the Actuarial team.
- Identify areas for process improvement within the team as needed.
- Support Risk Management, Finance, and Pricing Functions.
- Other ad hoc project work as it arises.
People Management
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of actuaries/actuarial trainees.
Qualifications
Required experience & competencies
Experience
- Qualified Actuary with a minimum of 5+ years PQE.
- Reserving (IFRS and/or Solvency II) experience preferable.
- Reinsurance experience advantageous.

Required Education
Qualified Actuary and relevant degree, minimum 5+ years PQE.
