Special focus is given to index based, parametric risk transfer solutions, not excluding traditional placements (structuring skill)</li><li>Taking role in analyzing and pricing (aka underwriting) transactions, preparing the issuance of non-binding and binding client indications (underwriting skill)</li><li>Effectively and responsibly lead lager scale transactions for PSS or development projects covering traditional structuring and underwriting as well as product/solution development (development skill)</li><li>Represent the team's technical expertise through close collaboration with the Products and local client facing teams. Dissect and present complex concepts to clients to drive effective sales efforts, (presentation skill).</li><li>Contribute to sales effectiveness with the preparation of technical documentation (documentation skill).</li><li>Be a "translator" between the client need and what SR can offer or develop. About the Team:

In this position in the Products Team you will provide internal support for the full spectrum of Medical Reinsurance actuarial services for the US Market as well as selected markets in Latin America. Responsibilities include new and renewal business costing support, providing financial and actuarial services to client markets, underwriting, technical accounting and reserving. You will deal with a number of medical reimbursement products that Swiss Re is offering in the US, including fully insured major medical, employer stop loss, HMO Reinsurance, or distinct market segments. You will also support financial reporting and project work.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support Latin America valuation within the US Actuarial Management team with Swiss Re Group reporting requirements including US GAAP, Swiss Statutory and other Swiss Group reporting.  You will contribute to the quarterly reserving process &amp; analysis, risk assessment and assist in investigating earnings anomalies in Swiss Re Zurich and Swiss Re Brazil legal entities. 

Key responsibilities include:

	<li>Assist with quarterly financial reporting for the Latin America business across all valuation bases. Analysis to include full investigation of anomalies in earnings.</li>
	<li>Support the development and maintenance of model profiles for significant blocks of individual life business.  </li>
	<li>Involvement in the quarterly assessment of experience for group and medical business with adjustments to IBNR or loss ratios as appropriate.  </li>
	<li>Perform the role of subject matter expert for various model changes.   Perform peer review and user acceptance testing as part of that role.</li>
	<li>Support the development of business planning to enhance reporting transparency and deliver insights into business performance. </li>

About You

<ol>
	<li>University degree in mathematics/actuarial science or a related field</li>
	<li>Good progress on actuarial exams or recent ASA</li>
	<li>Strong analytical skills, with experience working in MS Excel and databases. </li>
	<li>Strong written/verbal communication skills</li>
	<li>Ability to work independently and in a team to contribute to the successful delivery of time-sensitive projects.</li>
	<li>Knowledge of AXIS modeling software or other programming software is preferred</li>

About the Team

Reporting into the VP, Actuary, you will be an integral member of the US L&amp;H Valuation team which comprises over 20 actuaries. This sub-team within US Actuarial Management is responsible for the valuation and reporting of Swiss Statutory and EVM reserves for the company's US Life and Health reinsurance business.
