Your role will be focused on providing Capital Modelling support to clients, and key services that you could be involved in include:

• Advising on the design, build, and maintenance of capital models used to calculate Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR);
• Supporting Major Model Change applications to regulators;
• Carrying out Internal Model Validation;
• Reviewing and carrying out Standard Formula calculations of SCR;
• Supporting reviews of capital as part of Mergers & Acquisitions activity;
• Internal Audit review of our client’s Capital Management processes;
• Understanding changes in regulatory requirements and emerging trends.

As a member of the Actuarial Insurance team, you may also support engagements across Reserving, Pricing, Transformation, and Audit.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

Essential:

• Experience in the non-life insurance industry.
• Capital modelling experience (modelling, parameterisation, or internal model validation).
• Knowledge of ReMetrica or Tyche.
• Knowledge of Solvency II regulatory requirements.
• The ability to apply your knowledge in practical and commercial situations.
• Track record of being able to take ownership of and complete packages of work or small projects successfully.
• Some experience of talent development (e.g., performance management for junior team members, mentorship, or coaching of individuals).
• Clear communication skills.

Desirable:

• Close to qualification or newly qualified.
